The overtime settings page is where you can define your global overtime rules. For more information please see the table below.

Pay Daily Overtime OT Rate 1 If you pay daily overtime check this box to pay employee overtime rate 1 for time worked above the set limit.
Pay Daily Overtime After OT Rate 1 Enter the number of hours after which daily overtime rate 1 should be paid here.
Pay Daily Overtime OT Rate 2 If you pay daily overtime check this box to pay employee overtime rate 2 for time worked above the set limit. Note that you cannot set Time Clock MTS to pay overtime rate 2 without setting it to pay overtime rate 1.
Pay Daily Overtime After OT Rate 2 Enter the number of hours after which daily overtime rate 2 should be paid here. Note that the limit must be above the limit set for overtime rate 1.
Pay Weekly Overtime If you pay weekly overtime check this box.
Pay Weekly Overtime After Enter the number of hours after which weekly overtime should be paid here.
Overtime Calculation Select how you would like overtime calculated here. You can calculate on the basis of daily overtime only, weekly overtime only, or both.
Seventh Day Overtime In certain locations (notably California in the USA) it is required to pay employees overtime rates if they work 7 days consecutively in a work week. Check this box to have Time Clock MTS automatically calculate seventh day overtime. Note that you must have daily overtime rates 1 and 2 set to enable seventh day overtime.
Seventh Day Overtime Limit If an employee is eligible for seventh day over time then hours worked UNDER this limit will be paid at OT rate 1. Hours worked above the limit will be paid at OT rate 2.
Paid Holidays Affect Overtime Check this box if you want employees who get paid holidays to have these holidays affect their overtime. Thus if a week has one 8 hour holiday then the weekly overtime limit will be reduced by 8 hours.
Sick/Vac Time Affect OT Check this box if you want sick or vacation time taken effect overtime calculations. If ticked an employee taking 8 hrs sick or vac time in a week will have their overtime limit in the week reduced by 8 hours.
Pay Day As Overtime Check a weekday box to force that day to be paid as overtime. Note that overtime calculations will not double up. For example, if Saturday is marked to be paid as overtime and the employee exceeds the daily overtime limit the additional time will still only be paid as overtime, not double overtime.
