Time Clock MTS - What you get when you purchase
A fairly common question that I am asked is what exactly do you get when you purchase Time Clock MTS? Hopefully this post will clear up some of these questions for you.
What Emails Will I Get?
- Once you've purchased you'll get an immediate email containing a temporary registration code so you can keep using the software until you get your permanent registration code. This is to help people whose trial period has expired keep working without interruption.
- You also get an email from our payment processing company containing a receipt for your purchase.
- A day or two later you'll get your permanent registration code via email. This email is generated and sent automatically by our systems. If you haven't received your email within a week of purchase then it's almost certain that the email was either caught up in your spam filters or you entered an incorrect email when you purchased. You can get your registration code directly from our website using the lost registration code page. Why do we delay the permanent registration code email a day or two? Simply for reasons of internet fraud, most fraudulent uses of credit cards are picked up in a day or two so we delay this long just to make sure that emails are not sent out to those that shouldn't receive them.
- You'll get a reminder email from our payment processing company a few days after purchase reminding you of your purchase because sometimes people are confused when a charge from an unknown vendor appears on their credit card statement!
Will I Get a CD Shipped To Me?
No you wont, our delivery is via electronic download only.
Will I Have to Download the 'Registered Version' of Time Clock MTS?
No you wont. Once you've entered your registration code into the trial version of Time Clock MTS it becomes the 'registered version'.
What is my License to Use Time Clock MTS?
Once you've purchased Time Clock MTS you have a lifetime license to use the software you bought. There's no yearly renewal charge unless you want to extend your support with us.
What Support will I Receive when I Purchase Time Clock MTS?
When you purchase Time Clock MTS you are entitled to one year of email support and software updates. After the year has gone by you'll get an email from us offering to renew the support for another year for $20 or 25% of your initial purchase price, whichever is higher. We do not offer phone support, it is simply not economical to do so for such a low cost product. There is a phone number on our website where you can get hold of us and we do answer phone calls but generally you'll be directed to send support enquiries to us via email.
Is my License Different if I buy a Client License?
The first thing to understand is that no matter what Time Clock MTS license you purchase it always includes at least one license to use the administrator version on one computer. If you buy the single computer version, for example, you just get a license to install and use the administrator version on one PC. However, when you buy a 1 client license you have a license to use the administrator version on one computer plus you can install and use the client version on one computer.
For those of you who are new to Time Clock MTS the administrator version allows you to administer and setup Time Clock MTS as well as record employee time and attendance information. The client version only allows you to record time and attendance information.
